North Korea vows response to US

The powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un vowed Tuesday to boost the country’s nuclear war capability and take other steps to protest the recent arrival of a nuclear-powered U.S. submarine in South Korea. North Korea has repeatedly vowed to expand its nuclear arsenal, but the latest threat by Kim Yo Jong came after North Korea dialed up regional tensions by unveiling a uranium-enrichment facility and testing a new ballistic missile earlier this month. In a statement carried by state media, Kim Yo Jong said that the submarine's visit “clearly reveals the frantic military and strategic attempt of the U.S.” She said North Korea’s nuclear war deterrent must be bolstered “both in quality and quantity continuously and limitlessly” in response. “The U.S. strategic assets will never find their resting place in the region of the Korean Peninsula,” she said. “We will continue to inform that all the ports and military bases of the ROK are not safe places." Woman alleges Sean Diddy Combs raped

Another woman sued Sean “Diddy” Combs on Tuesday, alleging that the music mogul and his head of security raped her and recorded it on video at his New York recording studio in 2001. The lawsuit filed in federal court in New York, the latest of several similar suits against Combs, comes a week after he was was arrested and a federal sex trafficking indictment against him was unsealed. Thalia Graves alleges that when she was 25 and dating an executive who worked for Combs in the summer of 2001, Combs and Joseph Sherman lured her to a meeting at Bad Boy Recording Studios. She said they picked her up in an SUV and during the ride gave her a drink “likely laced with a drug." According to the lawsuit, Graves lost consciousness and awoke to find herself bound inside Combs' office and lounge at the studio. Squatters graffiti second vacant LA mansion

A Los Angeles mansion defaced by taggers is reportedly the second home to be covered in graffiti belonging to the son of a Major League Baseball team owner. Photos and drone footage captured the the walls of the multi-story property in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood engulfed in spray-paint on Tuesday. The home, which has been vacant for years, is five miles south of another property owned by Philadelphia Phillies owner John S. Middleton's son, according to local stations KNBC and KABC. Reports state that the home, belonging to 40-year-old producer John Powers Middleton, has been unoccupied for years, attracting squatters and creating safety concerns for the neighborhood. Councilmember Nithya Raman, who represents the district the properties encompass, confirmed the two homes were owned by the same individual but did not state who the owner was. A 64-year-old US woman took her own life inside a controversial suicide capsule at a Swiss woodland retreat, with police on Tuesday saying several people had been arrested. The space-age looking Sarco capsule, which fills with nitrogen and causes death by hypoxia, was used on Monday outside a village near the German border. The portable human-sized pod, self-operated by a button inside, has raised a host of legal and ethical questions in Switzerland. Active euthanasia is banned in the country but assisted dying has been legal for decades. On the same day it was used, Switzerland's Interior Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider told lawmakers that the Sarco was "not legal".
